Happy Birthday Annica!!!

Yesterday was Annica's second birthday. Because of all the craziness lately, we decided we would have a family birthday and make it incredibly special. After Annica went to bed on monday night, we put streamers up in our living room. When she woke up the next morning she had quite the "oh!" look on her face. You know which one I'm talking about? Mouth wide open, eyes all big... Anyway, we waited for DJ to get home from his moprning class, then she opened all her presents and she was so excited. Every gift was a new reaction, "Cool...Wow... goodness!" She was dramatic and wanted to call everyone to thank them.



Later on Annica got to help make her own birthday cake. We pick out the "Funfetti" cake then dumped in the cake powder, because thats what you do. I turned around to get the eggs out of the fridge and come back and... "mm thats yummy!" Annica had put a whole handfull of just the cake powder in her mouth. Yuck! We finshed making the cake and had a little yummy lick... and a mess to clean up... before putting it in the oven. I must say she did a marvelous job... It turned out beautiful.





For dinner we had Annica's favorite.. Mac and Cheese. (A lot easier than DJ's favorite birthday dinner)Then we sang happy birthday, and little the candles. It took her a few times, but she successfully blew out the two candles by herself. It was a great end to a great birthday. Happy Birthday Annica!!
