Ride To Cure Childhood Cancer

We recently saw an add for a horse show, "A Ride To Cure Childhood Cancer." we thought this was great for 2 reasons - obviously its a good cause, and Annica is in love with all animals - but especially dogs and horses. So out to the Georgia Country we went!

The horses swerved around poles, raced to the end of the track, kicked up dust around barrels. The contestants guided them with ease, making the whole bit look like they were born to be doing this. I couldn't get enough of the country sun, the smell of hay, and the company of my four favorite people on the planet.

Tanner couldn't get enough of the gigantic pickles. Yum!

Eli loved the speedy horses for a while. Then decided playing on the bleachers and searching for rocks just might be a better way to spend his leisure time.

And Annica of course, couldn't get enough of the horses. This is Okie, the golden yellow beauty, running poles.

This is Annica Watching Okie, the beautiful golden yellow horse.

And this is Annica in pure bliss when she got invited to come and spend some time with Okie The beautiful golden yellow horse, and Speedy, who was "fixin'" to compete in the barrel competition.

Someday we will have horses. Loving animals is in Annica's blood.

Tanner is so big already! How old is he now? I keep thinking of him as a newborn, since that's what he was when I last saw him.
