CAUGHT!

DJ has been trying to catch a lizard for over a month. Its not that he isn't fast, and sly and manly- i promise you he is. Its just that the lizards are faster and slyer most of the time. He really wanted to catch one to show my nephew Isaac when he and Kristin were here, but it didn't work out. So Isaac, this ones for you!

A blue bellied lizard (sound like an official name?)

 a FAT one

The lizard got scared and ran onto DJ's back. (Dj only made a little squawk)

The event in the next picture got a bigger squawk out of all of us though. Can you find the lizard now? Why is DJ all crouched over? (click picture to enlarge if needed)

We decided we better let him go home... he was scared and not very happy. But we did declare DJ officially as manly and sly and fast!! (which we really already knew.) GA is full of lizards of all different kinds. Shiny, scaly, green, brown, blue, orange, big and little. On the ground, on fences, trees, the sides of the buildings.... I would say we see at least 3 a day.  Pretty cool!

Isaac thought these pictures were awesome!! Especially the one with the lizard on D.J.'s head...haha. I would have been squawking BIG TIME if I was there. What kind lizard is that? We don't have those kind in my dad's yard in FL. Thanks for sharing with us.

Okay, growing up in the South, I am very familiar with all of the creepy crawly critters down there.
My brothers used to take ordinary lizards and get them to "bite" their earlobes, so that it looked like they had lizard earrings. No kidding!
We didn't usually play with the blue racers though. For some reason, whether it's true or not I don't know, but we thought they were poisonous. Might wanna check them out. Thanks for the referral for the other blog--way cute!

manly dj is at it again!! remember when he totally caught a fish on our camping trip!? then it slipped out of his hands and he caught it AGAIN!? it takes a special kinda man to be able to do that. with his bare hands!!! if that lizard were to crawl on the back of my neck i'd probably pee my pants!!!!

Yikes! Go DJ! We see lizards here a lot, too! Instead of blue tummies, some have blue tales! Miss you guys!
