DJ and I were able to take a trip by our selves to go house hunting and have some fun down in Georgia. My parents came to visit us, and stay with the kids while we were gone. We were able to have a great and peaceful thanksgiving dinner while they were there, which was awesome because we weren't planning on seeing family for this day! While we were gone, the kids did amazingly well! They slept through the night, behaved so well, and didn't really even miss us- they soaks up the time they had with grandma and papa and loved every moment of it!
DJ and I found a great place to live (I will tell you about it soon) and got to do some sight seeing. One of the things we did we go to the Coca-Cola museum in Atlanta. It was probably my favorite thing that we did- its small, but worth it!
Thanksgiving Day started dramatically, and ended fabulously. As tradition with many men and boys out there- DJ decided to play football with some buddies of his. I told him not to get hurt, but I guess he can't really control that! So someone through the ball to DJ and he would like to claim that he CAUGHT THE BALL!! even though.... the guy in front of him stopped, causing DJ's mouth to go into named guys shoulder. Then the guy behind DJ ran into him. This guys face went into the side of Dj's head, he teeth went into DJ's ear, and the other guy fell while bleeding from variously places on his face. A friend came to DJ and told him he was ok, but he had better sit down because his ear was bleeding a bit. Well- he was lying, it was bleeding a lot. long story short- guys went to Dr. Dj decided not to stay. I tried to get him to go back for his ear, but he wouldn't have it. Here is one of the less gory pictures after it had been clean several times. It pussed for about 2 days, but is now healing fine.
As for his teeth... well, one of his front teeth is fake. he knocked this tooth loose, breaking the bar that was holding it in, completely in half. A dentist was able to temporarily fix it before we left, and since we have arrived in GA, he has had to get the tooth and bar pulled, finding a crack in the tooth next to it.... and again long story short, he has to have a bridge across six teeth and have veneers put on several teeth. But as he says "Hey! At least I will have a hollywood smile!" The process is long but will be finished before the end of the month. We will update you.
For Thanksgiving dinner we were invited to our good friends house Mark and Kim. We were able to spend the evening with them and their children, our precious children and a new woman in our ward and her lovely family. We had a yummy dinner, and really great company! We are grateful for all the wonderful friends we made in Minnesota.
Had enough yet? This feels long, but I am going to keep going hopefully at a quicker pace here.
The movers came the day after Thanksgiving. We were able to spend sometime and say goodbye to some really great friends. And then we spent the night at an awesome hotel in Maple Grove! It had an indoor water park, and fabulous pizza, and we stay in a Tuscany sweet! If anyone is going visit up there, let me know! I will pass on the info! Then we woke up early an began our drive. We drove about 20 hours, and did most of it in two days. We saved about 1 1/2 hours for a third day. Annica has had a history of car sickness, and with young children we were prepared for some puke, and some screaming and arguing and we were prepared to be very patient. But that all got thrown out the window! The kids did amazing! There was not puking, no screaming and the trip went by so quickly! They watched DVD's listened to christmas music, played games, slept. We could not have asked for a smoother trip! We since have moved in, met friends and neighbors, hung out with our friends who have moved here from home, gone to our great new ward, been spoiled with time together, got things un packed.. and now we can take a deep breath and pray to be here as long as they told us we would- settled into ONE home for 16 months. Things really are well, and we are so glad to be able to be together as a family no matter where DJ is working! more pictures to come of GA soon!

Wow! You guys have been busy! So sorry about DJ's teeth! That's seriously my worst nightmare--to have my teeth knocked loose or have them fall out or something. Hopefully you have some sort of dental insurance to help cover the costs??! Glad you're down in Georgia safe! Hope you get to stay there for awhile! :)
WHEW! Love reading your updates - need to post one myself.... maybe over christmas break....
Email me or tell me on facebook which ward you're in - I have family in Columbus, GA and they're dying to know if you're in their ward (of COURSE I told them a FABULOUS family had moved there!!)
